The Book of Common Prayer of 1662
The Church of England
Read elsewhere
What it is
The restoration prayer book, essentially Cranmer's with small revisions, imposed by an Act of Uniformity that ejected some two thousand ministers who would not use it.
Why it lasted
The legal liturgy of the Church of England ever since, and the book whose imposition created English Nonconformity as a permanent body.
Where to read it
Public domain and free to read in full, though not held here. The archives below have it.
These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
