Terms of Service

Draft. These terms have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer. They describe how the service is intended to work and should be checked by qualified counsel before launch.

These terms govern your use of aiforbible.com. Using the site means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the service.

Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for what happens under yours, and for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Accounts are for people, not shared logins — the Church plan has team seats for that.

Plans and downloads

• Free — five watermarked downloads per calendar month at 1280px. The count resets on the 1st.
• Disciple — unlimited HD downloads without a watermark.
• Church — unlimited 4K downloads without a watermark, plus up to ten team members.

Not every artwork exists at every size. Where a source image cannot fill a tier, you receive the largest version that exists rather than an upscaled one. See pricing for current rates.

What you may do with the artwork

Downloads are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0. The licence page sets out what that permits, and it governs — nothing here grants more than it does. Circumventing the watermark or the download limits is a breach of these terms as well as the licence.

Billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or annually as you choose. We do not see or store your card details. Plans renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops the next renewal and leaves your access in place until the period you have paid for ends.

If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until it is resolved. Prices can change, but not for a period you have already paid for, and we will tell you before a change affects you.

Scripture texts

Bible translations on this site are in the public domain, and their provenance is recorded alongside each one. Some translations are catalogued but not yet available; the reader shows which.

Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to bypass download limits or access controls.
• Do not scrape, bulk-download, or resell the library, in whole or in part.
• Do not use the artwork to misrepresent scripture, or in material that is unlawful, hateful, or harassing.
• Do not disrupt the service or the experience of other users.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance happens, and occasionally something breaks. Content may be added, changed, or removed.

Ending your access

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and will explain why unless we are legally prevented from doing so. Files you downloaded while your licence was valid remain licensed to you.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be signalled on the site before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
