What it is
A Cappadocian bishop backs Carthage against Rome on rebaptism, and tells Stephen of Rome bluntly that appealing to Peter does not settle an argument.
Why it lasted
The sharpest surviving third-century challenge to Roman primacy, preserved only because it was collected with Cyprian's letters.
