Psalm 151

What it is

David in the first person: the smallest of his brothers, a shepherd who made a harp with his own hands, passed over by the prophet until God chose him — and then the meeting with the Philistine, whom he cut down with the man's own sword.

Why it lasted

Canonical in the Greek, Slavonic, Syriac, and Armenian Bibles and absent from the Hebrew and Latin ones. A Hebrew original turned up at Qumran in 1956, ending the assumption that it was a late Greek composition.

Where to read it

Public domain and free to read in full, though not held here. The archives below have it.

These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
