The Church Fathers · 430
The Twelve Anathemas
Cyril of Alexandria · c. 376–444
What it is
Twelve propositions appended to a letter to Nestorius, each condemning a way of dividing Christ, and demanding subscription.
Why it lasted
The sharpest and most contested documents of the christological controversy, rejected by the Antiochenes and never formally endorsed at Chalcedon.
Where to read it
This work is in the public domain and can be read in full, free, at the archives below. The Library catalogues it; it does not host the text.
These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
