What it is
A history of Armenia between the Persian and Roman empires, ending with the Arab conquests and an early outside account of the preaching of Muhammad.
Why it lasted
One of the earliest datable references to Islam by a non-Muslim writer, and the principal Armenian source for the seventh century.
