What it is

King Reccared and the Visigothic nobility renounce Arianism before seventy-two bishops, the Arian books are ordered burned, and the creed is to be sung at every mass — recited, in the Spanish text, with the Spirit proceeding from the Father and the Son.

Why it lasted

The end of Gothic Arianism and the birth of Catholic Spain. It also carries the earliest conciliar use of the filioque, added in Spain to make a point against Arians and inherited by the whole Latin West, which is how the clause that split East from West got in.
