What it is
The risen Saviour appears on a mountain in Galilee as an invisible spirit of light and answers twelve disciples and seven women, delivering the contents of Eugnostos as revelation rather than argument.
Why it lasted
The clearest demonstration anywhere of how a non-Christian text became a Christian one: the same sentences, now spoken by Jesus in answer to Philip, Matthew, and Mary.
