What it is
The correspondence of a patriarch in Baghdad appointing bishops for Tibet and China, hunting for manuscripts of Aristotle, and negotiating with the caliph's officials.
Why it lasted
The clearest evidence of the reach of the Church of the East at its height, and of Christian scholars supplying Greek philosophy to the Abbasid translation movement.
