Ta'ammera Maryam

What it is

Marian miracle stories translated from Arabic and greatly expanded with Ethiopian material, read liturgically and illustrated in brilliantly coloured manuscripts.

Why it lasted

The most copied book in Ethiopian Christianity after the scriptures, and the centre of a devotion the emperor made compulsory.

Where to read it

Public domain and free to read in full, though not held here. The archives below have it.

These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
