What it is
A Christian synthesis of Greek medicine and philosophy on body and soul, sensation, imagination, memory, and the will, drawing on Galen throughout.
Why it lasted
Translated into Latin twice in the Middle Ages and used by Aquinas, it carried a great deal of ancient physiology into Christian anthropology.
