The Medieval Church · c. 1382–1383

Trialogus

John Wycliffe · c. 1328–1384

What it is

Truth, Falsehood, and Wisdom debate the whole of theology, summarising his mature positions on God, creation, the sacraments, and the corruption of the orders.

Why it lasted

Wycliffe's own summary of his system, printed in 1525 and one of the routes by which his thought reached Bohemia and Germany.

Where to read it

This work is in the public domain and can be read in full, free, at the archives below. The Library catalogues it; it does not host the text.

These open a search on each archive rather than a direct link, which is the honest way to point at an edition nobody here has checked line by line.
