The Testament of Abraham

But when Sarah heard the distinct speech of the Archangel, she immediately recognized that it was an angel of the Lord speaking.

So Sarah signaled Abraham to go outside toward the door, and she said to him, “My lord Abraham, do you know who this man is?”

But Abraham said, “I do not know.”

And Sarah said, “Do you remember, my lord, the three heavenly men who visited our tent by the oak of Mamre when you slaughtered the blameless calf and set a table before them?

And when the meat was consumed, the calf rose again and suckled its mother with rejoicing. Do you not know, my lord Abraham, that they also granted us the fruit of the womb, Isaac, by promise? For this is one of those three holy men.”

And Abraham said, “O Sarah, you have spoken truly. Glory and blessing be from God and the Father! For even I, late in the evening, when I washed his feet in the basin, said in my heart, ‘These feet are from the three men whom I washed then.’”,

And his tears, falling late into the basin, became precious stones. And he took them out of his bosom and gave them to Sarah, saying, “If you disbelieve me, now look at these.”

And Sarah, taking them, bowed down and kissed them and said, “Glory to God who shows us wonders! And now know, my lord Abraham, that a revelation of some deed is upon us, whether evil or good.”
