What it is
An early argument that Jews have been treated so badly by Christians that conversion was never a real possibility, and that they should be dealt with kindly.
Why it lasted
Included alongside the 1543 treatise so the contrast is visible: the same man, twenty years apart, and the later work cannot be read as though the earlier did not exist.
