Second Baruch

Nevertheless, whoever understands will then be wise.

For the measure and the reckoning of that time will be

two parts, weeks of seven weeks.

And I answered and said:

It would be good for a person to arrive and see;

yet it would be better than this not to arrive,

lest he fall.

But I will say also this:

Will he who is incorruptible despise those things that are corruptible,

and whatever happens in them, in those things that are corruptible,

so that he only looks to those things that are incorruptible?

If, then, my Lord, these things are truly about to come

which you have previously told me,

if I have found mercy in your eyes, make known to me this also:

whether it is in one place or in one of the parts

of the earth that these things are about to happen,

or whether the whole earth will perceive it.
