Second Baruch

And he answered and said to me:

That the whole

earth

is where it will happen then; on this account, all those who are alive will perceive it.

Yet at that

time

I will protect only those who are found in those

days

in this land.

And it will come to pass, after that which is about to happen in these parts is completed,

then the Messiah will begin to be revealed.

And Behemoth will be revealed from his place, and Leviathan will come up from the sea,

the two great monsters which I created on the fifth day

of creation,

and I have preserved them until that time.

And then they will serve as food for all who remain.

And the earth also will yield

its fruit,

ten thousandfold.

And on one vine there will be

a thousand

branches,

and one branch will produce a thousand clusters,

and one cluster will produce a thousand grapes,

and one grape will produce a kor of wine.

And those who were hungry will enjoy themselves,

and moreover, they will see wonders every day.

For winds will go forth from before me

to bring every morning the fragrance of fruits

of spices,

and at the close

of the day

clouds will drop the dew of healing.

And it will come to pass at that time

that the treasury of manna will again descend from on high,

and they will eat of it during those years,

because it is they who have reached the consummation of time.
