Second Baruch

And he answered and said to me:

“Because the revelation of this vision has been interpreted to you as you prayed,

hear the word of the Most High,

that you may know what is going to happen to you after these things.

For you will surely

depart

from this earth,

yet not unto death,

but

for the preservation of the times.

Go up, therefore, to the top of this mountain, and there shall pass before you

all the regions of this land,

and the likeness of the inhabited world,

and the summits

of the mountains,

and the depths

of the valleys,

and the depths of the sea, and the number of the rivers,

that you may see what you are leaving

and where you are going.

Now this will happen after forty days.

Now, therefore, go during these days and instruct

the people as much as you are able,

that they may learn not to die in the last time,

but that they may learn to live in the last times.
