Second Baruch

English, translated by Online Critical Pseudepigrapha — Online Critical Pseudepigrapha, English of the critical text

And it shall come to pass in those days

that the reapers will not grow weary,

nor will those who build toil;

for of their own accord the works will advance,

together with those who make them, in great tranquility.

Because that time is the end of that which is corruptible,

and the beginning of that which is incorruptible.

For this reason, these things which were previously spoken shall occur in it;

for this reason, it is far from evil things,

and near to those who do not die.

These are the last bright waters

which came after the last dark waters.
